Grand Master’s Message

To my Brothers and Sisters, the message I bring is the same one that the other Grand Masters have talked about for years. One word - Membership! This is a big concern. Of course, we do need to increase our membership, but once someone joins our Order, what do we do to keep their interest in our Lodges? How many names are on the roster at your lodge? How many of them show up at most of your meetings? Of course, some of them moved too faraway to attend, a few may not be physically able, but a number of them probably found something better to do with their time on your meeting nights because there wasn't enough there to keep them involved. In reciting the Odd Fellow Valediction we pledge that our lodge and our community deserve our best work. Are they getting it? I'd like to see each lodge appoint a committee or just one member to contact those brothers who have fallen by the wayside; tell them what projects the lodge has in mind, and ask for their help to accomplish it all. Then get your members out into your communities, find something that needs to be done, and DO IT - in the name of Odd Fellowship!Grand Master. With the guidance from God above, and the confidence that He will lead us in all our good works, our Order will endure and grow for future generations to enjoy.

Thank you for the privilege and opportunity to serve together with you as your Grand Master.
